If you’re looking for a classic hometown breakfast, The Crows Nest Diner is a great stop. I ordered the pecan waffle, crispy bacon, and scrambled eggs with cheese, and everything was cooked just right. The pecan waffle was flavorful, the bacon had the perfect crisp, and the eggs were light and cheesy.
Even though the restaurant was short-staffed, the lone waitress kept everything moving and did an outstanding job taking care of every table with a smile. Service may take a little patience during busy times, but the friendly atmosphere makes it worth the wait.
A couple of tips: arrive early. They open at 7:00 a.m. Tuesday through Friday, and the dining room fills up quickly. Parking is somewhat limited, so getting there early will make your visit much easier. Overall, it’s a solid breakfast stop that I’d happily visit again.
