Why I Started
The Common
Road Traveler
I created The Common Road Traveler to share the kind of information I look for when planning a motorcycle trip: real roads, real destinations, practical riding details, and firsthand experiences from someone who actually made the ride.
Motorcycle travel has taken me across the United States and into Canada, including long-distance trips, scenic routes, ferry crossings, small towns, major destinations, and places I might never have visited without a motorcycle. Those experiences became the foundation for The Common Road Traveler.
The goal is simple: help other riders discover places worth visiting and give them useful information before they go. That includes scenic roads, destination stops, restaurants, lodging, motorcycle gear, parking, travel conditions, and lessons learned along the way.
My Riding Background
Long-distance motorcycle travel has become a major part of my life. I’ve completed rides covering thousands of miles and spent extended periods traveling by motorcycle across multiple states and regions.
Those trips have taught me that the best motorcycle experiences are not always the most famous destinations. Sometimes it is a quiet road, a small restaurant, an unexpected stop, or a conversation with another rider that becomes the most memorable part of the trip.
That is why I try to document more than just the destination. I want to capture the complete experience of getting there.
