Highland Scenic Highway

West Virginia

The Highland Scenic Highway is West Virginia’s official route for the Harley-Davidson 50 Rides Challenge. This 44-mile scenic ride follows WV-150 through the heart of the Monongahela National Forest, climbing to elevations above 4,500 feet. Riders enjoy sweeping mountain curves, panoramic overlooks, dense hardwood forests, and some of the highest and most scenic roads in the state. Spring wildflowers, vibrant fall colors, and peaceful mountain scenery make this one of West Virginia’s premier motorcycle rides.

The official Harley-Davidson checkpoint is the Highland Scenic Highway / Monongahela National Forest sign located along WV-150. Stop at the official scenic byway sign for your Harley-Davidson 50 Rides Challenge checkpoint photo before continuing your ride. Forest signs may vary in appearance due to seasonal conditions or maintenance, but any official Highland Scenic Highway / Monongahela National Forest sign is accepted.
